Great Barrington students decorate store windows for Halloween

More than 150 students participated in the Rotary-sponsored Halloween window painting in downtown Great Barrington on Thursday.

Students from Monument Mountain Regional schools, Monument Valley Middle School and Great Barrington Rudolf Steiner Schools were chosen to display their work on mural-size posters hung outside businesses downtown. The program is a long-standing Halloween tradition in the community and fosters a positive interaction between the students and the community. Between the 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. painting period on Thursday, local business owners and community members passing by offered the students water, food and encouragement.
