Great Barrington: Walk to Prevent Homelessness set to Oct. 21

Construct Inc. will hold its 24th annual Walk to Prevent Homelessness on Sunday, Oct. 21, at Ski Butternut, 380 State Road.

The annual walk raises funds to provide emergency assistance for those families and individuals living in the southern Berkshires who face a housing crisis.

Registration begins at 12:30 p.m., the 3.5 mile walk starts at 1 p.m.

About 250 people are expected to join the walk, many carrying signs identifying their teams or showing empathy for those who have been forced to turn to Construct for help.

Construct Inc. offers shelter, low income housing, counseling, financial training, job placement services, GED courses and emergency support.
