Great Barrington woman faces more heroin charges

GREAT BARRINGTON >> A local woman out on bail for alleged drug offenses was arrested again Friday morning with 29 bags of heroin in her possession, according to Great Barrington police.

Alexandra T. Brenner, 29, of State Road, was noticed by Officer Samuel Stolzar driving on Main Street.

Stolzar knew that an active warrant for Brenner was outstanding for failing to appear in Central Berkshire District Court for a trial stemming from a March 2015 arrest.

In that incident she was also arrested by Stolzar for possession of heroin. Brenner was pulled over and placed under arrest by Stolzar and Officer Adam Carlotto.

An inventory of her purse found in the car revealed several packets of heroin. One baggie was field tested and tested positive for heroin. A small amount of cash and three cellphones were also confiscated.

Brenner was charged with one count of possession of a class A substance with the intent to distribute.

She was transported to Southern Berkshire District Court in Great Barrington and ordered held without bail on the default warrant.

She is due to appear in court Monday to face that charge and the new narcotics charge.
