GSI Outdoors recalls children's water bottles

GSI Outdoors has recalled children's water bottles due to a violation of the lead standard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The bottles are sold exclusively at L.L. Bean. The lead solder at the exterior base of the bottle contains high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

Consumers should stop using the recalled water bottles and call L.L. Bean for a full refund.

Consumers can contact L.L. Bean at 800-555-9717 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, Eastern Standard Time, or go to and click on "Recall & Safety Info" for more information.
