Gubernatorial candidate Juliette Kayyem to visit William Stanley Business Park

PITTSFIELD - Democratic gubernatorial candidate Juliette Kayyem continues her Gateway Cities tour today a visit to the William Stanley Business Park.

Kayyem will meet with Cory Thurston, executive director of the Williams Stanley Business Park, at 2:30 p.m., as part of her tour of brownfield sites around the state. The William Stanley Business Park is a former brownfield.

She plans to visit every Gateway City across the state to discuss her new proposal, "Reinvigorating Gateway Cities," and how she would invest in these important communities.

Earlier this year, Kayyem voiced her support of the Brownfields Redevelopment Fund stating, "Redevelopment of brownfields is an investment that yields returns for our economy and our environment. The Fund has literally transformed Massachusetts. I am committed to recapitalizing the Brownfields Redevelopment Fund because I believe it supports one of the Commonwealth's most important goals: Facing challenges head-on and transforming them into sustainable opportunities for growth and innovation."
