Hazardous waste collection in Lee on Saturday


LEE - The South Berkshire Hazardous Waste Collaborative will hold a collection for its 15 member towns on Saturday at the Lee Wastewater Treatment Facility

.It will be coordinated by the Center for EcoTechnology.The hours are 9 a.m. to noon. Registration is required.

Participating towns include Alford, Becket, Egremont, Great Barrington, Lee, Lenox, Monterey, Mount Washington, New Marlborough, Otis, Richmond, Sheffield, Stockbridge, Tyringham and West Stockbridge.

The cost for this collection is paid by the towns. However, the Hazardous Waste Vendor, Clean Ventures, charges a minimum fee per participant. Please consolidate with friends and neighbors and bring a minimum of 10 gallons/pounds or 25 gallons/pounds.
