High school soccer and volleyball roundup: Hoosac Valley girls defeat Lee

Posted

LEE — Olivia Bresett scored twice for the Hoosac Valley girls soccer team in its 3-1 win over Lee.

Bresett, Madi Vigna and Bresett again scored within the first 15 minutes to lead the Hurricanes (6-3-1).

Shannon Finnegan answered for Lee in the 23rd minute, but the margin was too much to overcome for the Wildcats (4-6).

"Hoosac pressured most of the game, but we held them scoreless in the second half," Lee coach Lauren Finnegan wrote in an email. "Unfortunately, the three goals in the first 15 minutes was enough for the win."

Brianna Hawley registered 16 saves for Lee.
