High school soccer roundup: Mount Everett, Lee girls draw 2-2

LEE — Karli Retzel scored twice for Lee and Gwendolyn Carpenter scored twice for Mount Everett as the two squads tied 2-2 on Tuesday.

Retzel's goal in the 11th minute gave the Wildcats (7-8-1, 2-4-1 Berkshire South) the lead. But Carpenter scored twice, first in the 21st minute and again in the 67th, to give the Eagles (11-1-1, 5-1-1) the advantage.

Lee secured the tie when Retzel converted on a penalty kick in the 69th minute.

Taconic's Jackie Boateng scored the game's first goal, and the Braves held the lead until Kristin Parkinson scored at 27:30. A minute later, Shelby Lynch gave Lenox the lead for keeps against the Braves (5-10-1, 2-4-1). Lynch had a big day for Lenox with a goal and two assists.
