High school soccer roundup: Mount Greylock girls pick up 6-2 win

Posted

WILLIAMSTOWN >> The Mount Greylock girls haven't been fortunate on the scoreboard as of late. That changed Friday night.

Caroline Flynn, Keiko Smith and Madison Ross each scored two goals as the Mounties (2-5-1) scored a 6-2 win over Lee (3-4) at John T. Allen Field.

The Mounties scored the first four goals of the game, all in the first half, and the Wildcats could not catch up.

"We got a lot of scoring opportunities in the box," Greylock coach Tom Ostheimer said. "In many ways we were due. It was nice to see the offense get untracked."

Shannon Finnegan scored both Lee goals.
