Hillcrest Charity Auto Show to return in 2014

PITTSFIELD -- The Berkshire Charity Auto Show held annually in July at the Hillcrest Campus will not be held this year due to an extensive construction project at the Hillcrest facility as it transitions to a cancer treatment center. As a result, the next car show will be held July 6, 2014.

"While we are saddened to cancel this year's show, there is a silver lining going forward," said the event's chairman, Butch Fezzie.

Fezzie said the grounds and gazebo are "being improved so there will be better and more space available to park show cars in the future."

Since heavy equipment is on site for the construction project at Hillcrest, crews also will be improving the road to the lower field for smoother access by show cars.
