Hinsdale: Census forms mailed to residents

Posted
Wednesday January 30, 2013

The town clerk’s office has mailed the 2013 census forms to all residents. The forms should be updated, signed and returned in the self-addressed stamped envelope within 10 days.

New residents and any household that did not receive a form is asked to call the town clerk’s office at (413) 655-2301 and one will be mailed.

An annual street listing of all household residents is required under state law.

Information obtained from the census is used in updating street lists, preparing school lists, to establish eligibility for residents’ tuition at state universities, for obtaining monies for veterans’ benefits and senior programs, and to update voter lists.
