'Hit list' found at Attleboro school

ATTLEBORO (AP) -- Attleboro school officials are investigating the discovery of what's being described as a "hit list" written by a student at a city elementary school.

Superintendent Kenneth Sheehan said he will meet Tuesday with school staff, police and other officials to investigate a note containing the names of students that was found at Hill-Roberts Elementary School by a substitute teacher Monday.

Sheehan was not specific concerning the contents of the note, but tells The Sun Chronicle the student who apparently wrote it has been identified.

He did not specify what, if any, action was being taken with regard to student suspected of writing the list, but said he is taking the note seriously.
