Pittsfield: Physical therapist joins Greylock

Physical therapist Katrina Grosse has joined the staff at Greylock Physical Therapy, the company has announced.

Before joining Greylock, Grosse gained considerable experience in outpatient orthopedics and vestibular rehabilitation from the Lahey Clinic in the greater Boston area.

Her approach combining chain-reaction transformation with vestibular and manual techniques has led to successful outcomes for patients.

Stockbridge: Horticulture program at garden

The Berkshire Botanical Garden and Berkshire Community College are offering a horticulture certificate program that begins in September.

Participants can either enroll in a single course of interest, or work toward a Certificate in Horticulture (Level I); a Certificate in Garden Design (Level II); or advanced certificates with a Concentration in Horticulture, Design or Sustainable Horticulture and Native Plant Garden Level (Level III).

Classes take place at the Berkshire Botanical Garden, at the intersections of routes 83 and 102.

Pittsfield: IEEE workshop on sales skills

The Berkshire Section of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers will present a Berkshire Consultants Network Workshop on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Berkshire Community College’s West Street campus.

"Sales Skills for Engineers and Scientists" will be presented by Paul Hutchinson of Hutchinson Consulting from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a half-hour break for lunch, in Melville Hall, room 211.

The course is designed for scientists and engineers who are either new to sales, have not had sales education before, or are working in roles that support the sales and marketing process for themselves or their company. Continuing education units from IEEE can be earned for those who successfully complete this course.

The cost is $14 for IEEE members, $35 for IEEE students, and $75 for non-IEEE members before Sept. 14. Cost for later payments is $55 for IEEE members, $45 for students, and $95 for non-members.
