Great Barrington: Olga Dunn Dance to hold gala
The Olga Dunn Dance Company will celebrate its new location with a gala from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Great Barrington Train Station, 46 Castle St.
The evening will feature a 30-minute live dance performance, as well as live jazz and a silent auction. Refreshments will be provided by The Red Lion Inn.
Although the company moved to the new space last month, this is the first performance in the new space, according to Dunn, who is the artistic director. She has been running the studio for 32 years.
Tickets are $50 per person at the door. Seating is unreserved, but limited. For more information call (413) 528-9674.
Adams: Community Bank honors employees
Adams Community Bank recently honored several employees at its annual retirement and service awards celebration at the Orchards Hotel in Williamstown.
Staffers were honored for having either reached milestones in their service to the bank, or for having recently retired.
The retirement of William Wheelock was celebrated along with a service recognition award for Kathleen LeClair with 30 years of service.
Doreen Descoteau, Patty Carpenter, Donna Tatro, Julie Dzbenski, Laurie Pelczynski and Pam Duval celebrated 25 years of service.
Sue Moulton, Wendy Laughlin, Kris Bona, Michelle Davignon and Norma Barnes celebrated 15 years of service. Mike Prudhomme was honored for 10 years of service and Heather Coons, Laila Boucher and Brenda Nolan for five years of service.
Laila Boucher, Louellen Boucher, Kelly Charon, Lisa Odvar, Kelly Ryan, Judy Sayers and Jolene Wood were recently honored for their professional development. They received either certificates or diplomas from the nationally recognized Center for Financial Training.
Great Barrington: Haddad opens used car store
The Haddad Auto Group has opened a new used car store in South Berkshire. "Haddad of South County" is located at 974 South Main St. at the former site of Art Davis Auto Sales.
Davis, the business’s former owner, is now the manager of the Haddad store. In addition to the used cars on the lot, buyers wll have access to Haddad’s inventory of more than 250 pre-owned vehicles at the Haddad of South County website, www.haddadusedcars.com.
