Pittsfield: Parade board partners with Friendly’s

The Pittsfield Parade Committee has formed a fundraising partnership with the Friendly’s Restaurant chain.

Certificates can be obtained at the Friendly’s outlet at 841 Dalton Ave. that allow patrons to donate 20 percent of their check to the Pittsfield parade fundraiser. The offer is valid at that restaurant from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m through Wednesday, June 25.

N. Adams: Nutrition Center opens satellite office

The Nutrition Center of Pittsfield has opened a satellite office in the Mass MoCA complex at 138 Mass MoCA Way, Building 1, Space 8. An open house is scheduled to take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 29.

The new office is headed by Kristin Irace, a registered dietitian, who worked with Sodexo at North Adams Regional Hospital for the past 11 years.

Pittsfield: BCREB gives awards, names officers

The Berkshire County Regional Employment Board recognized one individual and two organizations, and selected fiscal 2015 officers at its annual meeting on June 12.

Thomas McDonough of BerkshireWorks was presented with the "Workforce Professional of the Year" Award, while Adams Community Bank and MountainOne Financial were honored for "Employer of the Year."

Fiscal 2015 officers include: Richard Belair, Hillcrest Educational Centers, president; Patrick Reuss, Sabic Innovative Plastics, and Eva Sheridan, MountainOne Financial, vice presidents; Charlene Boettcher, Canyon Ranch, youth council chair; and James Brosnan, McCann Technical School, treasurer.

Other elected officers include: Daniel Walsh, IUE-CWA Local 255, assistant treasurer; Doug McNally, Frost Hollow Associates, secretary; Robert Keegan, Crescent Creamery, at-large; and John Lipa, Linden Consulting Group, MA WIB Association liasion.
