Credit union appoints
Stoddard as VP, CFO

Michael Stoddard has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer of the Greylock Federal Credit Union, the financial institution has announced.

Stoddard has spent his entire 30 year career at two financial institutions -- Concord Savings Bank in Concord, N.H., and Maine Bank & Trust in Portland, Maine, which was acquired by People’s United Bank in 2008.

He has held several leadership roles including CFO and head of retail and small business banking. He has extensive experience in developing financial strategy, directing asset and liability management, budgeting, and overseeing regulatory interactions.

Stoddard holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Franklin Pierce University. He has also served in numerous banking industry and community positions including the Maine Banker’s Association legislative committee.

He is married and has two grown sons.


Slosek named to post at Hillcrest Ed. Centers

Katrina Slosek has been named director of communications at Hillcrest Educational Centers Inc., the organization has announced.

In this role, Slosek will collaborate with the members of Hillcrest’s senior management team and other key personnel to develop a comprehensive brand strategy and communications plan for the agency /foundation.

A recent graduate of the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts Professional MBA Program, Slosek is a member of the Class of 2014 Berkshire Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program.

She comes to HEC following seven years at Dominion Dealer Solutions, a technology services provider in the automotive industry, with a background in event planning and marketing communications.


Local business ranks among trade’s top 100

B&G Restaurant Supply of Pittsfield has been ranked 78th among the top 100 food service equipment and supply dealers in the United States by Foodservice Equipment and Supplies Magazine.

The firm achieved 17 percent sales growth in an industry that experienced decreases from almost a quarter of its top distributors.
