New Lebanon, N.Y.: Bank gives two $1K grants

Berkshire Bank has provided $1,000 grants to each of the two community organizations in New Lebanon, according to the New Lebanon Economic Development Committee.

The Lebanon Valley Heritage Center and the New Lebanon Library have each received $1,000.

The Heritage Center was created in December 2013 by the town’s economic development committee in collaboration with the Lebanon Valley Historical Society to showcase the town’s history and serve as a visitors information bureau.

The center will use $500 to fund signage, and $500 for the center’s production of a tourism/historical-sites annotated map, which will be a first for New Lebanon.

The New Lebanon Library will use the funding for its children’s programs.

Pittsfield: Marketing group nets 6 nat’l awards

Greylock Marketing Group, a full-service advertising agency and subsidiary of the Greylock Federal Credit Union, has received six national awards for creative advertising campaigns that were produced in 2013.

The group was acknowledged at the 21st annual Credit Union National Association Marketing and Business Development’s Diamond Awards competition which took place March 11 to 14 in Orlando, Fla.

The Diamond Awards represent the pinnacle of credit union marketing and business development and features 29 categories, ranging from direct mail and website marketing to public relations and community involvement.

Greylock won three "Best of Category" Diamond Awards for its "Anywhere Banking" complete campaign, print and radio entries. Three Diamond Awards were received for: "Anywhere Banking" point-of-sale display, as well as "Piggy Bank" Primary Financial Institution print ad and radio ad.

Springfield: STCC offers radiology course

Springfield Technical Community College is offering a radiology course for dental assistants. The program begins on Monday, April 28. Space is limited.
