Berkshire Career Fair to be held Thursday

The 2014 Berkshire Career Fair takes place on Thursday at Berkshire Hills Country Club. The hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The BerkshireWorks Career Center is holding workshops on Monday and Tuesday to prepare attendees for the Career Fair.

Cumberland Farms
to hold grand opening

Cumberland Farms will hold a grand opening ceremony for its newly remodeled store at 707 Main St. between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The store is the first in the area to debut a new look and store concept as part of the brand’s multi-year remodeling effort.

The event will also serve
as the kick-off for a month-long fundraiser for the Girl Scouts of America. During the fundraiser, 10 cents from every purchase of Cumberland Farms’ hot coffee will be donated directly to the organization. Girls Scouts

Mildred Elley names city campus director

Annette Jeffes has been named the director of Mildred Elley’s Pittsfield campus.

She will serve as the school’s chief academic officer with the responsibility for overseeing and leading academic programs, and for staffing and management of the library.

Jeffes served as assistant vice president of enrollment management and admissions at Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y. for 11 years, worked in undergraduate admissions at Syracuse University for 15 years, and was most recently employed at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

A resident of Stephentown, N.Y. Jeffes holds a master’s degree in education from Capella University, and a bachelor’s degree in speech communications from Syracuse.
