North Adams:

MountainOne names VP, commercial loan officer

Paul Brindle has been named vice president, commercial banking team leader for MountainOne Bank’s Western Massachusetts team, while Kathryn Dubendorf Genova has been promoted to commercial loan officer.

Brindle will be located in the MountainOne Financial Center office in Pittsfield. Prior to joining MountainOne, he served as vice president of commercial lending at Berkshire Bank, and also held a similar position at Key Bank.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management and finance from the University of Massachusetts and has served in a variety of capacities for several Berkshire County youth organizations. Brindle lives in Pittsfield with his wife, Laurie, and their two children.

Dubendorf Genova will work to grow MountainOne Bank’s commercial loan portfolio, as well as cultivate new and existing loan relationships. She is located in the MountainOne Financial Center office in North Adams.

She previously served as a credit analyst, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Connecticut College, and will complete the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking in 2014.


Martin joins law firm
as associate attorney

Michael Joseph Martin has joined the law firm of Martin Oliveira & Hamel PC as an associate attorney. Martin is the son of John J. Martin Jr., a partner in the firm. His brother, uncle and grandfather are also members.

His primary areas of practice will be in business and personal injury litigation, as well as real estate transactions and representation of local banks and financial institutions.

A 2012 graduate of the University of Massachusetts School of Law, Michael Martin spent the past year as law clerk for Chief Justice of the state Land Court Karyn Scheier.

Martin graduated from law school magna cum laude. As a member of the UMass Law Review Editorial Board, he served as lead articles editor in 2011-12 and as an associate editor in 2010-11. He was also involved in the school’s Community Development Clinic where he represented small business and nonprofit corporations throughout the south coast of Massachusetts.

Martin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Roger Williams University.
