The Favorite Poem Project
The community is invited to come together for an evening to share poems they love.
When: 6 p.m. Saturday, April 19
Where: Northshire Bookstore, 4869 Main St., Manchester
Northshire Poetry Reading Book Group and Poetry Writing Groups will host the Favorite Poem Project.
They ask anyone to choose a favorite poem and to explain why it is a favorite, where they first read it, why they keep returning to it and some information about the poet. The poem should not be one the reader has written, or written by a friend or relative -- it needs to be a poem that has been published, one that is a part of the reader's life.
To sign up is required, write to Claire North at revclairenorth
@mac.com. Local poet Ellen Lytle -- ‘Homefront: New and Selected Poems' -- will emcee.
