In Berkshire Superior Court Wednesday:

Jeffrey A. Benoit, 26, of Third Street, Pittsfield was arraigned on two counts of burning a dwelling house and one count each of burning a motor vehicle and burning personal property.

Judge John Agostini ordered he continue to be held without the right to bail pending a bail hearing set for March 31.

The charges stem from incidents in Pittsfield on Dec. 1, 2015.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.

Ryan Garvey, 41, of Commercial Street, Adams was arraigned on a charge of possession of heroin with intent to distribute.

Judge John Agostini ordered he be held on $2,500 bail.

The charge is the result of the execution of a search warrant at his home on Dec. 4, 2015.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield, Dalton and North Adams Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff's Department, state troopers assigned to the District Attorney's Office and members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.

Samuel Rivera, 20, of Daniels Avenue, Pittsfield was arraigned on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Judge John Agostini ordered he be held on $5,000 bail.

The charges are the result of a motor vehicle stop in Pittsfield on Jan. 2.

The investigation was conducted by state troopers assigned to the Cheshire barracks.
