In the courts
In Northern Berkshire District Court on Friday:
Laura Rennie, 31, of Meadow Street, Adams, admitted to sufficient facts on charges of forgery of a check, uttering a false check, larceny under $250, larceny over $250, and larceny by a single scheme that were continued without a finding until April 7, 2017. She was ordered to pay $4,420 in restitution.
Iliya Light, 31, of U.S. Route 2, North Hero, Vt., admitted to sufficient facts and was found guilty of furnishing a false name when arrested. Light was sentenced to two days in jail. A charge of class B drug possession was dismissed upon the request of the commonwealth.
Oliver Womble, III, 36, of Houghton Street, North Adams, admitted to sufficient facts on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon that was continued without a finding until Nov. 9. Womble was fined $90.
Jacob Michon, 24, of Lyman Street, North Adams, had charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and a number plate violation were dismissed upon the request of the commonwealth. Michon was also found not responsible for not having an inspection sticker and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
James Arnold, 48, of Charles Street, North Adams, admitted to sufficient facts on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license that was continued without a finding until Aug. 8. He was fined $50.
