Jackpot! Lee man wins $1 million after scratching 'Nutcracker Cash' ticket left in a drawer
LEE — Robert Roosa is the state's newest lottery millionaire.
The Lee resident hit the jackpot recently when he became the third and final winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery's "Nutcracker Cash" $5 instant game.
The winning ticket had been sitting unused in a drawer at Roosa's residence until he decided to scratch it a week ago, according to state lottery officials.
Roosa purchased his winning ticket at Convenience Plus at 241 Main St. in Lee. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.
