Karen Allen: Heading for Off-Broadway
NEW YORK -- Karen Allen, who romanced Indiana Jones, has been lured back to the New York stage.
Allen, perhaps best known for her role in the first In diana Jones film and the recent sequel "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," will star in the American premiere of Jon Fosse’s "A Summer Day."
The Rattlestick Play wrights Theater production begins performances Oct. 10 at the Cherry Lane Theatre. The six-person play is set in two time periods in the same idyllic house.
Allen makes her home in Great Bar rington, where she teaches theater at Bard College at Simon’s Rock and sells handmade knitware in a shop on Railroad Street.
Last year she directed Michael Weller’s "Moon chil dren" at the Berkshire Theatre Group’s Unicorn Theatre in Stockbridge. Her film roles include "Animal House," "Starman," "In the Bedroom" and "The Perfect Storm."
