Kenny Tremont Jr. picks up second victory of season at Lebanon Valley Speedway

WEST LEBANON, N.Y. >> The rain held off long enough at Lebanon Valley Speedway Saturday night in order for Kenny Tremont Jr. to register his second win of 2016.

Tremont took advantage of a rare yellow caution in a Modified Feature to claim victory. It was Tremont's 127th career victory at the Valley.

"I was really very happy with the adjustments to the chassis," Tremont said. "I think that was the difference between last week and this week."

The caution on lap 7 caused the field to be bunched up. On the restart, Kolby Schroder got past pole sitter Mike Keeler. Tremont also passed Keeler and took second.

The 13th lap proved to be lucky for Tremont, because that's when he passed Schroder and held off the field.

Schroder held on for second and Elmo Reckner was third.

In the Small Block Modified feature, J.R. Heffner played a waiting game before taking the checkered flag.

In fact, Heffner passed Frank Hoard on the 24th lap to earn the win. Hoard had passed pole sitter Kenny Aanonsen Jr. on the sixth lap.

In the Pro Stock feature, pole sitter Joe LaFlamme spun out in turn 1, starting a chain-reaction incident that involved almost half the field. Most, however, were able to resume.

Ray Hall Jr. took the lead on the green, with Paul LaRochelle on his tail. LaRochelle was using a new setup on his car, and quickly took the lead for keeps.
