Laliberte Toy Fund

LEE — The 50th annual Laliberte Toy Fund raised of $10,078 this holiday season, $1,678 more than its goal of $8,400.

The fund serves youngsters in Lee, Lenox Dale and Tyringham, and was begun by longtime Lee police officer, the late Ed Laliberte in 1958.

Sgt. Joseph Buffis, who manages the fund on behalf of the Lee Police Association, offered thanks to The Berkshire Eagle, Legacy Bank, and all those who provided support in for the children in 2008.
