Lanesborough: Agricultural program explores bee health

The Massachusetts Association of Agricultural Commissions will present a program on bee health titled "Bee Informed" from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, in the Community Room at Town Hall, 183 North Main St.

The program is free and designed for farmers, beekeepers and members of the public.

Facilitators include Kim Skyrm, chief apiary inspector, Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources; Taryn LaScota, chief pesticide inspector, MDAR; Frank DiLuna, esquire; and Murtha Cullina LLP, legal advisor for MAAC.

They will be discussing disease, foraging, pesticides and hive health. Two pesticide credits will be awarded.
