Leadership change at Wheeler & Taylor


GREAT BARRINGTON -- Doug Goudey will be replacing the retiring Joe Carini as president of Wheeler & Taylor Real Estate on Wednesday, according to George A. Ryan Jr., the president of Wheeler & Taylor Inc.

Goudey will also continue in his current position as the CFO of Wheeler & Taylor. Carini’s retirement is official on Tuesday. It had been planned for some time and management looked both internally and externally for the right choice to succeed him.

"Doug Goudey was been our CFO for many years and the more we looked the clearer it became that he was the right choice," Carini said.

Goudey grew up in Stockbridge and has been with Wheeler & Taylor Inc. for almost 20 years serving as CFO. Carini has been with Wheeler & Taylor for 32 years and has served as president for the last 24 years.

Goudey, his wife Sarah Kleiner-Goudey and their two daughters, Samantha, 9, and Emily, 11, live in Stockbridge where he is also an assessor for the Town of Stockbridge and an active member of the Stockbridge Fire Department.

A past trustee for the both the Stockbridge Library and the Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce, Goudey currently serves as president of the Stockbridge Land Trust and treasurer for the Laurel Hill Association.
