A canoe trip to upper and lower Goose Ponds, sponsored by Berkshire Sanctuaries, will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 29.

Led by Rene Laubach, director of Berkshire Wildlife Sanctuaries, participants will explore the coves and marshes of Goose Pond and search for interesting plant and animal life on a one mile walk on the Appalachian Trail.

The cost is $20 for members, $25 for non-members.

Registration is required by calling (413) 637-0320. Directions to the meeting place in Lee will be provided upon registration.

Due to possible windy conditions, previous canoe experience is required. Bring food, drink, insect repellent, and sunscreen.
