Lee: Composting workshop slated for Sept. 11

The Town of Lee Recycling Committee announces a free composting workshop to be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at the Lee Library, 100 Main St.

Aric Brown, outreach specialist for the Center for EcoTechnology, will lead the workshop. Attendees will participate in a hands-on demonstration of how to build an efficient and active compost pile, and gain all the knowledge needed to start composting at home. Kitchen food scrap buckets will be available to Lee residents at no charge. A home compost bin sign-up will take place as well.
