Lee girls lacrosse bounces back with win


LEE -- The Lee girls lacrosse team bounced back from its first regular-season loss in program history to beat the Hoosac Valley, 14-10 on Wednesday.

Moriah McKenna had a big day with four goals and five assists while Lydia Graham scored six times.

"[McKenna] was all over the field," said Lee coach Dave Galisa. "She definitely took charge. A lot of them, especially Moriah, after the Greylock [loss] were down. They knew we had to get it back."

Carlee Huttle led Hoosac with five goals.

PITTSFIELD -- The Generals started out by taking a 3-0 lead, but visiting Belchertown scored seven times in a row to take a 7-3 halftime edge.

The Orioles pushed the lead out with five goals in the first five minutes of the second half to take command of the contest.

Tori Symanski scored all five of Pittsfield's goals.

DALTON -- The Warriors had a balanced attack, with seven players scoring at least one goal, in this win.

"We're on a roll right now," said Warrior coach Paul Lange. "The guys are really clicking. I think that's why we're successful."

Adam Parker and Matt Clayton led Wahconah with three goals each. Quinn Caesar had two goals and two assists. Jordan LePrevost had three goals and an assist for the Wildcats.

GREAT BARRINGTON -- Brendan Leary and Alex Teichert had four goals each to lead Pittsfield to the road victory.

Jack Vickery had the Spartans' only goal.

"Obviously [Pittsfield's] a more experienced team," said Monument coach Rob Leary. "Monument's a young team so we're still developing in the county. They had a much more aggressive style of play and came up with more possession time."
