Lee: Literacy Network offers tutor training

The Literacy Network of South Berkshire will conduct free tutor training sessions from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Feb. 16 and 18, in the gallery of the Lee Library, 100 Main St.

LitNet offers free, one-on-one tutoring for adults needing help in math, basic reading skills, preparing for the HiSet (formerly GED), and learning English as a second language.

Tutors don't need prior teaching experience or knowledge of a foreign language, but they must be 18 or older.

Tutors should commit to teach one to one-and-a-half hours a week.

To register or for more information, contact LitNet at 413-243-0471 or info@litnetsb.org.
