Lee: Multicultural BRIDGE announces courses on race

Multicultural BRIDGE, a Lee non-profit dedicated to fighting racism and promoting mutual understanding and acceptance among diverse groups, announces "Real Talk on Race" classes.

A 16 hour course will begin Saturday, April 2, from noon to 6 p.m. at the Grace Church office, 67 State Road, Great Barrington. The remainder of the course dates will be determined Saturday.

At each session, a pair of facilitators will deliver their unique lesson on race based on their personal experience. Afterwards, participants will engage in an interactive race lesson and conversation.

A second course at First Congregational Church in Stockbridge has the additional goal of helping participants reach a deeper understanding of race in the context of religion.

This course will consist of eight sessions from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Sundays, April 10 through May 29.

Each course has a suggested donation of $80, paid over the course of the class.

For more information or to register for either course, contact BRIDGE at 413-394-4029 or adminsupport@multiculturalbridge.org.
