Lee: Police Department announces winter parking ban

Tuesday December 11, 2012

The winter parking ban is now in effect until April 1 between the hours of 1 and 6 a.m. for all streets in Lee.

Violations of this ban may result in a $20 fine for parking in prohibited areas, or a $50 fine for impeding snow removal. In addition, if the vehicle is impeding snow removal, it may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Municipal parking lots off of Railroad Street and Franklin/High streets may be used for overnight "off street parking," however, vehicles in those lots must be moved by 8 a.m. to allow the Department of Public Works to manage snow and ice.

Information: Police Department at (413) 243-5530.
