Lemme, Kroboth are among the top finishers in Holyoke race

HOLYOKE -- Kent Lemme and Michelle Kroboth were the top Berkshire County finishers in Sunday's St. Patrick's Day 10-kilometer road race.

Lemme finished 16th overall in a time of 33 minutes, 50 seconds. Lemme, 46, from Williamstown, was the oldest finisher in the top 25.

The overall champion was Alistair Cragg of Providence, R.I., who finished the race in 29:20.

Kroboth finished 76th overall and was the fifth-place finisher among all women. Kroboth, 33, from Pittsfield, finished in 38:51, just one second behind the fourth-place woman Abby Maloney of Holyoke.

Amy Hastings of Providence was the top women's finisher and was 12th overall in 33:32.

Other Berkshire County finishers in the top 500 included: Kimberly Gero, Pittsfield, 40:49; Steve St. Clair, Williamstown, 41:41; Allan Bates, Pittsfield, 41:41; Lauren Farry, Pittsfield, 42:09; Timothy Allard, Pittsfield, 44:17, Matthew Kosiorek, Lee, 44:21; Sam Darbey, Tyringham, 44:27; Steve Roberts, Dalton, 44:36; Liz Lierman, Great Barrington, 45:18; Elizabeth St. Clair, Williamstown, 45:22; Ted Collins, Lenox, 45:24.
