Lenox: Author to speak at College Club luncheon
The College Club will hold its annual winter luncheon at noon on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Firefly restaurant, 71 Church St.
The featured speaker will be Parnell Hall, writer, actor, screenwriter and singer/songwriter.
Hall is the author of over 30 books, including the Puzzle Lady, Stanley Hastings, and Steve Winslow mysteries. He wrote the screenplay for the underground horror movie "C.H.U.D.," a song for Pete Seeger and appeared in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first movie clad in a leopard skin.
Now living in New York City, Hall grew up in Lenox.
College Club, founded in 1915, is open to women with two years of college credit. Activities include book clubs, bridge, gourmet, and handwork groups and special summer outings and cultural events.
Three full membership events are held during the year, open to the public and prospective members.
