Lenox: Berkshire Sanctuaries sponsors Housatonic River canoe trip

A canoe trip on the Housatonic River, sponsored by Berkshire Sanctuaries, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2, from the Decker Boat Launch.

The trip will be led by Rene Laubach, director of Berkshire Wildlife Sanctuaries.

This leisurely paddle will take participants through the George Darey Wildlife Management Area.

The cost is $20 for Mass Audubon members, $25 for nonmembers.

Directions to the meeting place will be provided upon registration. Children must be at least 10 years old, accompanied by an adult, and know how to swim.
