Lenox: Canoe trip on the Housatonic River

Berkshire Sanctuaries is sponsoring a canoe trip on the Housatonic River from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, from the Decker Boat Launch.

This leisurely paddle will take participants through the George Darey Wildlife Management Area looking for frogs, fish, herons, muskrats, and signs of beavers.

The cost is $20 for Mass Audubon members, $25 for non-members.

Directions to the meeting place will be provided upon registration. Children must be at least 10 years old, accompanied by an adult, and know how to swim.
