Lenox: COA to distribute farmers market coupons

The Council on Aging will distribute farmers market coupons to eligible seniors from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at the Lenox Community Center. These coupons are worth $25 and can be used to purchase food items only at the local farmer's markets.

Applicants are required to be at least 60 years old and be eligible for or receive Food Stamps, SSI, Brown Bag, Mass Health, fuel assistance, or reside in public housing.

Documented proof of eligibility must be presented at the time of coupon distribution. Applicants must sign for the coupons, but proxy forms for those unable to attend are available at the Lenox COA office and are to be completed prior to July 28.

The coupons are valid through October. The distribution will be on a first come, first served basis.
