Lenox: Distinguished Lecture Series to feature poet

Award-winning poet Michelle Gillett will present "The State of Contemporary Poetry" at the next Distinguished Lecture at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at The Lenox Library, 18 Main St.

The lecture is free of charge and open to the public.

Gillett, of Stockbridge, is a contributing editor to The Women’s Times and has been a regular op-ed columnist for The Berkshire Eagle for over 20 years. Her work has appeared in numerous journals and publications.

She is the author of "The Green Cottage," winner of The Ledge 2011 Poetry Chapbook Competition.
