Lenox: Edwardian opulence is subject of ‘Tea and Talk’


A. Cassandra Albinson, curator of paintings and sculpture at the Yale Center for British Art, will present a Tea & Talk on "Edwardian Opulence: Your Day in ‘Court’ or How to Dress to Meet the Monarch" at Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum, 104 Walker St.

The talk will take place at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, and will be followed by a Victorian tea.

Albinson specializes in British and French art of the late 18th and 19th centuries, with a particular focus on portraiture.

Tickets are $20 for advance reservations and $25 day of the event. Reservations are recommended as seating is limited.
