Lenox: IS183 gala honors Nancy Fitzpatrick


LENOX — IS183 Art School marked its 25th anniversary and honored Nancy Fitzpatrick's impact on the community at the Fitzpatrick Fandango on July 7.

Suky and Tom Werman of Stonover Farm bed and breakfast hosted the gala which was attended by 220 Berkshire luminaries.

The evening netted more than $95,000 for IS183's year-round programming in the visual arts which has served more than 40,000 adults and 16,000 children in the last 25 years.

The evening's honorary co-chairmen were Diane and Deval Patrick, Lincoln Russell, Jennifer Trainer Thompson, Tracy and Andy Foster, and an honorary committee.

Fitzpatrick, owner of the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, helped establish the art school 25 years ago. The philanthropist's many contributions to the Berkshires and beyond have also included Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, the Berkshire Museum, Colonial Theatre, and Chesterwood.
