Lenox: Martin Bookspan to give series of talks

Martin Bookspan, the "Live From Lincoln Center" broadcaster, will be sharing stories in a series of talks at The Gateways Inn, 51 Walker St.

"Stories From 60 Years in the Broadcast Booth" will be presented Wednesday, July 16.

The series will continue with "My All Star Team: Koussevitzy, Horowitz, Stern and Perlman" on Wednesday, July 30, and "My Friends, Aaron Copland and Leonard Bernstein" on Wednesday, Aug. 13.

All talks are from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Known as the "Voice of Classical Music," Bookspan has been commentator for nationwide radio broadcasts of concerts by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic and serves as moderator for the Friday evening series, "This Week at Tanglewood."

Cost is $15 in advance, or $20 at the door. Food and drink are available for purchase.
