Lenox: Playwright honored with drama award

Playwright and local author Marc Aronoff has won the 19th annual Arts and Letters Drama Prize Competition for his one-act, "The Lantern Bearers."

The drama is inspired by an essay of the same title by Robert Lewis Stevenson.

The competition is conducted by Georgia College and State University. Winners receive a $500 honorarium, travel stipend, and a full production.

The highly competitive national award, given once a year, honors distinguished work in poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, and drama.
