Lenox: Sanctuary hosting bat house workshop

A Bat House Making Workshop, sponsored by Berkshire Sanctuaries, will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, at Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, 472 West Mountain Road.

Suitable for children 5 to 18 years, the workshop will also include a slide show about area bats and their natural history and a discussion on the proper care and placement of the bat house.

The fee for adults is $15 for Mass Audubon members and $20 for non-members; children are free. The fee is per bat box and includes building materials; bring a carpenter’s hammer.
