Lenox: Sanctuary to host ‘Insect Safari’

"Insect Safari," sponsored by Berkshire Sanctuaries, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, June 21, at Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, 472 West Mountain Road. The program will be led by Rene Laubach, director of Berkshire Sanctuaries.

Participants will observe insects through binoculars and in some cases harmlessly net them for closer study and release.

The program is suitable for children 8-16 years. The cost for adults is $4 members/$6 non-members; children, $3 members/$4 non-members.
