Lenox: Ventfort Tea and Talk to feature Boston Globe editor, author

"New York & Boston: The Whitney Race Underground" will be the subject for a Summer Tea & Talk at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum, 104 Walker St.

Presenter of the illustrated lecture will be Doug Most, deputy managing editor for features at The Boston Globe and author of the new book, "The Race Underground: Boston, New York, and the Incredible Rivalry that Built America’s First Subway."

Most will have copies of the book to autograph at the succeeding Victorian tea.
