Lenox: Ventfort to host Victorian tea and ballet

Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum at 104 Walker St. invites mothers, grandmothers, children and grandchildren to a Victorian Pink Tea and Ballet celebration from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10.

The ballet will be performed by the American Dance Institute Ensemble of Pittsfield directed by Sharon MacDonald and the Albany Berkshire Junior Ballet Company and the Cantarella School of Dance directed by Deidre Duffin Swindlehurst. The ensembles will perform excerpts from classical ballet.

"Les Petites Dames de Mode" (The Little Ladies of Fashion), an exhibit of 61 29-inch mannequins dressed in period costume from 1855 to 1914, will be on view.

Admission is $20 for advance reservations, $25 day of the event, $7 for children 5 to 17, and free for children 4 and younger.
