LENOX — The Forest Park Country Club team of Leo Romanos and Bob Murray shot a 64 to win in the A Division of the fourth event of the Berkshire County Fall Senior Series at Cranwell Spa and Golf Resort on Wednesday.

Romanos, the reigning club champion at the Adams club, and Murray won by one shot over the Wahconah Country Club team of Paul Briggs and Ron Carver in the two-man scramble tournament. Ralph Dastoli and Keith Dapper, members at Berkshire Hills Country Club, finished third with a 67.

Taking the top spot in the B Division was the Berkshire Hills CC pairing of Mark Gilligan and Ed Chandler, who combined for a 66 to defeat Tony Salvatore and Dick Piretti by one shot. Dick Rivers and Dick Syriak finished third with a 69.

In the net competition, Dennis Dickenson and Mike Koperniak carded at 61 to win by two shots in the A Division over Dan Keegan and Ron McCasland while John Rybka and Wayne Shotts defeated Paul Traversa and Steve Messer in the B Division in a match of cards after both teams finished with a 62.

The divisions are determined by the combined ages of the teams, with the A Division the younger age group.

This Wednesday's event will be held at Berkshire Hills Country Club and will feature a scramble format. Entries are closed but golfers can still enter the Oct. 5 event, a singles tournament, at Greenock Country Club. Call the club before this Friday to enter.
