Letter: A big year for a small team
I would first like to say thank you to the Eagle sports staff. It's a hard job keeping up on all the sports.
There is one team I am writing about, a team of 10 girls and five boys, I believe the smallest swim team out of the nine teams in our league. This team had a great year with five wins and six losses and sending five girls to the Western Mass, and state swimming championships. In each of their relay swims they bettered their times. This team had great coaching from Shannon McMahon and most of all 15 hard-working happy, fun
Their names were never mentioned, and I feel that every swimmer in Berkshire County should have had their name listed for making this very hard accomplishment. Aileen Archambault, Katie Nugai, Mary Kirsimagi, Teresa Kisimagi and Jessie Tobin comprised the St. Joseph's High School swim team competitors in the state championship.
Congratulations to all the teams in our league -- great kids, great coaching.
